week 2 result and getting ready for weekend.

Hi everyone,

I'm still being good stitching my lockdown away... And workin on my 2 wips, under constant agreements with my little missy as she keeps trying to convince me i should only stitch on her project, and i keep telling her i want to stitch on mine too... At the moment we got to the compromise of stitching on each for 3 days in a row and rhen swap (given I get 1 day free, might dedicate that to my knitting - that would be a good balance, need to find how to work for the best days for stitching) this means i spent some time on each project and got some good improvements to show and tell for.

On the 25th i ran out of pink for stars so started the black outline

Then 26th i moved to No words Needed and finished another page 13/36. And started my work on page 14 on the other 2 days
Now back to working on Little Miss Deelish throughout the weekend.

Week 2 - start

Hi everyone,

Still keeping up my good work with the stitching... I'm loving it, and even my daughter is pushing me to stitch because she wants to see more... And did I mentioned that she is learning how to stitch... Coming quite well for a 5 year old if you ask me, and nearly finishing her own project...

I also started a Facebook page for my stitching... I plan to update it weekly, so will be updating once here, once on Facebook, at different days.
If you want to follow: https://www.facebook.com/103908084676552/posts/103928851341142/

Been stitching more than the 700 stitches daily I had set for myself so I'm really happy with it... And even on Saturday evening after frigging over 400 stitches I still managed to do more than 700...
And this is my daily photos until today:

HAED - Little Miss Deelish and Sweet Treats Trixie
5155 stitches/ 252900 (2.04%)

HAED - No Words Needed
86503/208800 stitches

First week back to stitching

Hi everyone,

As I'm planning to post more regularly, here goes the result of my first week back to stitching...
I kept working on No Words Needed, but in the meantime I have received my fabric order from Lakeside Needlecraft and also started my second project "Little Miss Deelish and Sweet Treats Trixie" by Hanna Lynn. I started this on magic count 28ct evenweave (my first time using pregridded fabric and I love it) and also doing tent stitch.
With my order I got a few samples of Binca 6ct as my 5 year old daughter wanted to learn to stitch... And have to say she is doing great at it.

And so onto the progress pictures:

IHSW Report

Hi everyone,

So I got back to stitching on the best weekend I could have chosen... It was IHSW... And you know what that means - spend the whole weekend stitching, and that's just what I did...

Discovering the pattern Keeper app, was definitely the best thing I could have happened, as my lost mojo for stitching had been keeping track with the patterns without making mistakes (marking it and in the project itself) and this weekend was a bliss..
I still made mistakes on the WIP, but easily found and unfroged and unmarked...

And by the end of the weekend I did around 2600 stitches (around 800 on Friday, 665 on Saturday and a massive 1231 Stitches - thank Pattern Keeper for showing me the stitch numbers and percentage complete.

I was also able to knit a few more rows at the bottom of the sweater I'm making.

So all in all, a good weekend to report.

Yesterday (Monday) I spent the day organizing my threads and projects... And searching on the Internet for the excel spreadsheet I used to use to do my stitching counts and tally to see if I was on track for my stitching goal. Which I'm pleased to say after some (read a lot) searching I found, and found an improved version that let me plan for up to 6 month goals and start on the day I want instead of beginning of each month, as it used to be. I'm aiming at 700 stitches a day...

And now enough talking and let's go to the best part...

Hello... Is Anyone still there?

Hi everyone,

I wonder if I still have anyone following me... After two years of no posts... And I wish I could say I'd still been busy stitching but honestly, apart from the odd knitting project I would grab (no cross-stitching happened during this period) with a now 5year old... The hobby seemed impossible, either because she wanted to help me with the stitching itself, making it much harder or she would be touching on the pattern making it a nightmare to read... Knitting ended up being easier, because I would give her a set of needles and some yarn and she'd be happy thinking she was also knitting.. Now she is big enough to let me stitch... A most she asks me to help me with the stitching and I let her push and pull the needle and thread after I placed it on the right place. And with the pandemic lock down and finding out about the new app "Pattern Keeper" it woken up my stitching bug with full revenge... So last week I decided to listen to it... And first project I grabbed was the culinary cats by Margaret sherry which was very near to the end... Two days in... And I had a finish... Now just need to finish finish it into the folder cover I planned. After that the monster was awake and No Words Needed was calling me. More than ever... So out came the project after being hiding for over 3 years I think.... I re-did and did some more of the gridding (wanted to do it all but the stitching itch was bigger, so there's a bit left to do later) and yesterday evening I put some more stitches in it a bit over 700 or 800 stitches (I love the app tells you how many stitches you did for the day without you having to count them). And so I'm hooked again and to celebrate it I will have a new project starting soon as well as per my daughter's request/demand... That I stitch one for her... This one will be a surprise for now, but I will say she was the one who choose it and she is obsessed with Unicorns (and pegasus, and alacorns and ponies... She keeps educating me that they are all very different types of animals).
ANYWAY, enough chatting for now before it becomes even more boring and into the good part of pictures...

A HUGE THANK You if you still around and reading.
