What I've been stitching...

Hi everyone, hope your Christmas time was great :D, with some stitching time and lots of stash goodies as gifts.
I found out why my stitching mojo, had vanished, so I took care of the problem (I got tired of trying to stitch Christmas motifs, knowing there was no way I would have them finished before Christmas) so I decided to change the theme and grab one of my WIPs, and the lucky one was SK Treasures (I needed something with few colours but still enjoyable to stitch) and this is what I've done so far, 2,5 more rows completed :D

I've been also finishing the last details for my final list for the Crazy January Challenge, and for the WIPocalypse, and I've been thinking of a rotation for next year.. so stay tuned for the news tomorrow ;)

Also besides the amazing giveaways being around the blogland, thanks to Evalina and the 12 days of Christmas giveaway,  there are 2 more not related and therefore I thought it would be nice to share:

Vickie's Fabulous Contest - Vickie decided to clean her stitching room, and she's giving away some of the extra stuff she had in it.

http://crazystitchoholic.blogspot.com/2011/12/ok-ive-decided-on-give-way.html - Randi is doing a giveaway for achieving the 100th followers :D

So go on and have a look there ;)

Happy Stitches

Where did all the time go??

Hi everyone,

I know I've been a lousy  blogger, not a single post in a while, I've just caught up reading all blogs a few moments ago, and to be honest I don't know where did the time go... I haven't stitched a single thing for the past week, my stitching mojo must have decided to go on Christmas holidays :(, and I've been so loaded with work because everything needs to be done before the end of the year (and of course, I'm the one who has to do all the   necessary stuff :S), and to top it up my pc decided to go on holidays to so it took me nearly 4 days and 3 Drive Formats to have it working again.... I noticed this is the IHSW so I decided that it's time to go back stitching, even without the mojo, I'll stitch something small to see what happens, also I'm thinking I'll be going nuts if I don't stitch eheheheh....
Well I'll be hoping to be a better girl from now on, and maybe I'll be diving in my stash to have a final list for the CJC ;)...

Happy Season everyone :D

Getting organized for 2012

Well next year is approaching really quickly, so I thought it was time for me to get myself organized in relation to the SALs that I'm joining in next year, they aren't that many, but it's going to be a busy stitching year if I keep the plan.

So this is what I'm joining for next year:

1 - CJC 2012 - starting 15 projects on the first 15 days of January and finish them by December 2012;
(Host - Nina; you can join the group here)

2 - WIPocalypse - finish as many WIPs as possible during 2012 since it's said the world will end in 2012 eheh, and you post a picture on each New Moon of your progress on your WIPs
(Host - Measi; you can join the group here)

3 - TUSAL 2012 - On each New Moon we show a picture of our ORT jar
(Host - Daffycat; you can join the group here)

4 - Theme-a-licious - In each month you stith something related with a specific topic, already listed, and you post a picture on the 15th of each month
(Host - Geeky Heather; you can join the group here)

5 - IHSW 2012 - Of course I have to join this one eheheh, the third weekend of each month is your "stitching" time, where you Hermit and Stitch, you'll have to join during the week before on Joysze blog
(Host - Joysze, you can join by pressing the cute Hermit on my sidebar during IHSW time)

6 - HAED BB 2012 SAL -  I still need to find out in which week of the month it will happen, but I'll be joining with QS Bookend Kitties

So as you can see tons of things to join for next year eheheh... now back to my Christmas stitching

Happy Stitches everyone,
Sara

Get ready for a Looong update

Hi everyone, it´s been ages since my last post, so sit comfortably because I´m going to tell you what I´ve been up to during my holidays back at home... and I´ll be including tons of pictures :D
So on my last week before going home I literally didn't have time to stitch a single stitch because of all the work that had to be done :S but I made up for it after and I fulfilled my promise to Joyzce  and I stitched not one but several stitches during IHSW stitches and I'm only 1,5 flowers, stem and blue bits away of having it completed...
You can see how it was before coming with me to Portugal on my last post, I finished the three small flowers that I had started during IHSW and I've started the next two on my second week at home :D

Meanwhile I stitched another ornie for an exchange with Viv and received mine (I received it before going home, but I had no chance to post about it so now I share both of them with you).
this is the one I received from Viv, I love the beads on the Santa

and this is the one I stitched for her, I stitched both sides with the same pattern so I'm only showing one of them, and it was all stitched with metallic threads, in a sparklie fabric that was given to me last year

My mum's birthday was on the first Saturday that I spent at home, and as many of you know by now, the MP was for her birthday, I stitched QS Reflections 2 because she loves angels and I knew she would love it. She was amazed, as well as both my grandmothers and my aunts that came over for tea, after I gave my mum the angel she spent the following days showing her gift to everyone that came over, so she definitely loved it, she was really proud of it and gave a place of honour to the picture, it´s on the entrance cabinet near my dad's photo and my mums favourite angels, so that everyone can see it :)

Here it is on it's new place :)

And the close-up I took before I framed it

I took a photo of my mum opening the gift but when I was distracted she deleted the photo :S (sorry girls but no pic of her amazed face when she realized it was actually cross-stitched an not a stamped fabric).

Now since I went back home and I love my hometown (Porto) I thought it would be nice to end up this extra long post with some pictures I took to one of my favourite places back home, Ribeira, especially on a sunny and warm day...

Thanks for reading :)
Happy stitches everyone

My Orchid has all the buds done :D

Yesterday I stitched all the buds on the tip of the orchid, and I started the next three flowers :) So I'm hoping that today I can complete these three flowers an move to the next part of the branch :D... It stitches so fast when there is such a small amount of confetti :D
This was one night of stithing, not bad?!
By the way I'm leaving the backstitching for the end... I know I'm crazy xD...

And here is the picture

1 flower done several more to go

Yeps... it's true I finished the first flower of my Orchid today :D and I'm loving the colours, I'm really enjoying stitching on this project and more and more I'm convinced that I'll be taking it with me during my 2 week holidays in Portugal (it's nearly here yayyy), so my plan is to follow the green and going down to the tip of the branch and then I'll be returning to the top part of the design to finish the blue bands and then backstitching :D
Hope you enjoy my wee bit of progress since a few days ago ;)

By the way I made a mistake on the previous details I gave I'm actually using aida 18ct 2x1 (and I'm tent stitching the flower shadows as you can see on the little bit that it's already done).

Well hope you like it,
And Happy Stitches
