Everything in one...

Hi everyone...
I don't know what happened this month that I missed tons of things to post like my TUSAL, my Theme-a-licious report, I can't rememeber if I did the WIPocalypse report for this month.... so as my title is saying this will be a all-in-one post :D

So Starting by the TUSAL.... I had to get a bigger "jar" for my Tusal... cause my little one couldn't fit one more ort in it. I'm using some plastic boxes (which came with candies in it - a great excuse to eat candies... "I need more boxes... so I have to eat them") this is because I tend to have them on the sofa armchair and for some reason (read I don't stop moving and end up pushing them) they fall quite frequently... so if they were glass... (it's not a good picture xD) anyway... where's my piture featuring my current WIP:

Now onto my second topic... my very late

and this month was:
Fangirl February
Send a Valentine to your favorite designer...or at least work on his or her designs for the month!

so I worked on DMC Crocus... and finished it a

and of course, my favorite "designer" is HAED so my "Valentine" was to work on my first HAED that got me hooked in them - Touch of Spring... and this is how it was the last time you saw it:

and how it is now (by the end of my stitching session on 01-03-2012)

Can you see the difference? I'm nearly finishing two more pages (1 full and one tiny partial)... so I'm going to keep with this one until it's finished and then I'll be stitching my monthly small... (a SAL from one of the groups I belong to) and I'll be jumping around other projects for the Theme-a-licious for March...

Thanks for stopping ;)

End of ISHW

Hi everyone...
my ISHW changed from Weekend to Week xD, and I've been stitching whenever I have some free time (not that I'm having that much... but for that I'm enjoying it even more) and now I have some more progress to show and some finishes yayyyy.... is it me or I'm finishing more stuff than usual.... (not that I don't mind at all eheheh)... So many of you complimented my little owls... and therefore I'll be starting by showing the bookmark that is now complete (for some reason in the photo it seems that it isn't aligned which is not true :S):
Owl Bookmark

and the full gift:

So when I wasn't busy finishing the owls, I've finished the 1st part of Sweet Flowers:

And I've been stitching on my oldest BAP, although I haven't reached the half page as I wanted... I'm quite pleased with my progress :D

I have the third column almost complete...

Also I had to share with you the most amazing gift I received... I was RAKed with a gorgeous bookmarker, thread and card... and it arrived on a day that I was really needing something to cheer me up... I feel so blessed for having such amazing friends :) THANK YOU SO MUCH
The gorgeous gifts I received

Thanks for stopping by,
Happy Stitches,

Beginning of IHSW

Hi everyone....
Hope you're all having a great IHSW... I've kind of entered on IHSW since Thursday and I've been stitching a lot... I'm actually pretty happy with this week's amount of stitching :D
I've totally finished the first part of the owls:

Front

And I stitched part 2 of the Owls gift wich is going to be a Book Marker, I just need to buy the felt to finish it

Also I've went back to Touch of Spring and started one more page, and there's one more flower showing up (I've put the pen on the side just to give an idea of the real size)

And I stitched more on Sweet Flower SAL (I'm loving the variegated effect of the threads :D)

So my plans for this IHSW are complete part 1 of the Sweet Flower SAL which is way overdue ;) and try to stitch half of the page of Touch of Spring (it will have some gaps because I ran out of one thread... and I'll have to wait a wee bit until I get it).

Also Melissa received the biscornu I sent her, so that means I can share the pictures :D... I forgot to take pictures after I added the "button" flower in the center... but this is what I stitched:

Before Mounting (back)
Before Mounting (front)

After Mounting (front)
After Mounting (back)
It's funny to see how fabric changes our perception of the colour... the pink I used on the biscornu is the same pink I'm using on the Sweet Flower SAL.

Hope you enjoy,

Hugs,
Sara

What I've been up to...

The month is nearly over, and considering that the past weeks have been really busy at work I'm quite happy with what I achieved in terms of my goals. I managed to complete two more goals that I had set up, and I still have tomorrow to stitch, so maybe.... I'll be able to do the 300 stitches on Jasmin and only have one objective not completed. I'm not going to show the pics I have of what I sent for the last exchange that was missing. But I can say I did my first biscornu and I was so happy with the result that I was quite tempted to stay with it. xD
After that I attacked the bit that was missing on Touch of Spring to complete 2 more pages... Yay!!! (I must admit one page is a partial page, but it's still a page right :)) and here are the pictures for Touch of Spring. I haven't washed it yet so you can still see the grid lines and the hoop marks...

Happy stitches

Updates - Touch of Spring and a new start

Last Friday I got the best visit of the month. The postman came with a package for me, and guess what it was the stitching frame I had ordered, and as obvious I had to try it, specially when I had been containing myself from start Dragon Fae 1 until I received it, because I wanted it to be the first one to try the new framing system. I'm simply loving it. And I think I'm faster, although I can't actually compare it yet, because I'm stitching the background on tent stitch and I'll do the dragon and the fairy on full stitch.

Meanwhile I focused on Touch of Spring (until Friday) and I'm nearly finishing one more full page and one partial page. I must confess I'm loving it, the shadows on the hand are so gorgeous and it makes it seem so real.

And of course here you have the pictures:
(A close up of dragon fae, after the first day on it - it's mainly Kreinik#4)

(A better view of what I stitched, painted on the chart)

I hope you like them as much as I do

Touch of Spring - K. Koukiotis - 07/02/2011

Since I stopped stitching the table cloth due to the missing thread, I returned to Touch of Spring. I couldn't wait to start stitching the hand and here is my progress up to now, I kinda finish my third page [page 2] only a couple of stitches missing because I'm still waiting for the thread to arrive. and I started page 14, I had to frog and redo nearly 600stitches, but still I think I'm doing a good progress...

Here are the pics:

The general view, I already hit the top and only 40 lines away to reach the bottom.

And a close-up to the first stitches in the hand :) You can see two fingers already :)

Touch of Spring... end of second week

By the end of the second week on Touch of Spring I almost finished my third page (page number 2). I'm really pleased to see the progress and I'm looking forward to start the following page, I'm going to do the bottom pages now which means I'll be doing part of the hand :)

And here are the photos:

The full progress:

And a close up to the two weeks progress:

There are some missing crosses in the middle but I ran out of the thread I needed . Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow or Wednesday along with the threads for my next start ...

Hope you enjoy it and Happy Stitches =D

Touch of Spring... and rotation plans

Today I reached the half page I was hoping for by the end of the week, stitching big blocks of the same color makes the progress go faster :), I believe that I'll be close to finish my 3rd page by the end of this week (the 2nd week on it).

And of course here's the picture to show:

Also I already made the order for the threads I'll be needing to start the HAE- Dragon Fae 1, so very soon I'll be having 6 projects on my rotation and therefore I'll be changing my rotation order, changing between one HAE and one non-HAE each 2 weeks (the two weeks rotation is working fine so I'll keep with it, at least for now eheh)...

My progress

So I decided to change my rotation to 2 weeks in each project so that I can enjoy each one a bit longer and see more progress in the end of the time. On Monday I've picked up "Touch of Spring" again and this is my progress after 4 days, 1400+ stitches:

I also decided I'll be posting my progress a bit more frequently since the rotation is 2 weeks each I'll be posting 4 times per each project :)
